Members of Laurel High School AP Literature and Language classes and the Academic Ambassadors attended the first ever Mississippi book festival, hosted by the William F. Winter archives, in Jackson, MS, on Saturday, August 22. Students were able to tour the Capitol building where they attended panels, listening to writers and poets read and discuss their writing and work. Students were also able to visit tents of publishers and other book sellers on the lawn of the Capitol.
